Dave and I got engaged this past April, after just over a year and a half of dating. We realized this fact, in absolute astonishment at how little time that actually is, because it seems as though we managed to pack about 10 years of living into it it!

Shake and Bake, Pitt Penthouse, NYC - August, 2007		 We met on August 7th, 2006, outside of the Nicole Atkins & the Sea's practice space in Brooklyn. Nancy was meeting Nicole, a friend from North Carolina, for dinner, and as Dave will recall it, "When I met her, and shook her hand, it was as if the dark clouds that had been looming over me just lifted."
We ended up talking the night away over a few "big cups" at Greenpoint Tavern, discussing everything from theories on garage sale art, to our families and entire life history. The "vibe", although not entirely romantic at the onset, was definitely one of undeniable magnetism. We were instantly talking and hanging out at any free moment we had, and the rest has just been a whirlwind of....well...life!! And a fantastic one at that. We thought very hard about how to describe "our story" to those who don't know it, or may not even know one of us, and, as cheesy as it may sound, it is honestly just too overwhelming to put into words.
